Hollywood actress Katie Holmes launches dance scholarship

The Hollywood actress is set to appear on Lythgoe's U.S. show 'So You Think You Can Dance' later this month.

The actress, along with “Hairspray” director Adam Shankman, reality television producer Nigel Lythgoe and “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba, has created the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
As part of the scholarship, underprivileged youngsters will get the opportunity to take part in dance programs, and win grants to enrol in accredited dance studios, according to Daily Variety.

"I think its important for children to experience music and dance. Every child should have the opportunity to discover what it is they like and have access to the very best in that pursuit," said the actress.
Katie Holmes, who will put on some dancing shoes for a Judy Garland tribute on “So You Think You Can Dance” on July 23, brings daughter Suri Cruise to dance classes.
